Medical Augmented Reality Summer School 2024

Medical Augmented Reality Summer School 2024

The 4th edition of the Medical Augmented Reality Summer School (MARSS) took place from September 1–7, 2024 in Suzhou, China — for the first time outside Europe. MARSS brings together the world’s top experts, clinicians, companies, and talented researchers from all around the world, fostering collaboration and pushing the boundaries of Medical Augmented Reality.

MARSS24 was supported by:

  • Center for Medical Imaging, Robotics, Analytic Computing and Learning (MIRACLE), Suzhou Institute for Advanced Research, University of Science and Technology of China
  • Chair for Computer Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP), Technical University of Munich, Germany
  • Institute of Medical Robotics (IMR), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China
  • Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), Hong Kong Institute of Science & Innovation, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The program featured keynote speeches from top experts and clinicians, hands-on lectures, industry demos, workshops, and a hackathon. Interdisciplinary teams from research, industry, and clinic collaboratively developed novel Medical Augmented Reality systems, supported by experienced surgeons and AR experts.

This event was endorsed by the MICCAI society and covered by the MICCAI Code of Conduct.
