Medical Augmented Reality Summer School 2023

We are excited to announce the 3^rd edition of the Medical Augmented Reality Summer School, again bringing together the world's experts in Medical AR, clinicians, companies and talented academic researchers from all around the world, foster cooperation, and hopefully push the boundaries of Medical Augmented Reality.

MARSS23 is organized by a consortium of scientists and clinicians from Balgrist University Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland and Technical University, Munich, Germany, which are among the leading centers for cutting-edge research in Medical Augmented Reality. MARSS23 will take place from September 4th to 15th, 2023 as an on-site event at Balgrist University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland, and will be accompanied by social and networking events on the side of the official summer school program.

In the MARSS23 hackathon, interdisciplinary teams consisting of participants from research, industry, and clinic will develop novel Medical Augmented Reality systems, supported by experienced surgeons and AR experts. For MARSS23 and the MARSS23 hackathon, we will have access to our brand-new translational center for surgery, the OR-X, a highly technological equipped research and training infrastructure where surgical innovation and education can happen without patient burden.

The organization committee will prescreen all applications and preselect the participants for the event. We encourage all applicants to provide their own (optional) project proposals for the hackathon during the application process. After the preselection process you will be informed via E-Mail and asked to transfer the registration fee to complete the registration.
